Defiling Dream

Last night I had the most horrifying dream. My dreams are almost always... benevolent is the only way to describe them. not always positive, but always rich and inspiring.

But last night it was just dessicated terror. Literally. I was dreaming that I had to choose which kind of medicine or vitamin or something that I wanted to take, and I noticed that there were really big bottles of common things, and they had big writing on the sides that listed the ingredients. Ingredients on medicine isn't always something you want to know, but it was okay on the big bottles, because they were all made of commonplace drug ingredients, ibuprofen and the like. Then I noticed that there were other smaller bottles, with smaller writing that showed slightly sketchier ingredients.

Then I noticed some of the really tiny bottles. They were full of these tiny beige pellets and the ingredients included insect parts, sand and grit, shards of glass, pubic hair and fingernail clippings, animal fur, burnt rubber, and copper filaments; and they clearly listed that the pills were not to be mixed with water. I was repulsed. I put them down and went home.

But at home it turned out that someone had bought them and sprinkled them in my food as I was eating. As I brought the fork to my mouth I got a whiff of their repulsive odor, the smell of burnt hair. Then before I knew what was happening, the pellet was in my mouth. It tasted like balloon, or balloon and burnt hair... at least, it did until the wetness of my saliva caused the thingto swell up in my mouth to the size of a marble, and then burst, filling my mouth with all the disgusting little pieces of crap.

I think I need to pay a visit to Zorapteran to reassure myself that my attitude towards bugs hasn't been damaged.

I have mentioned on another page that if you want to get on my god side, you should pay a visit to 17th Avenue. Today one of my collegues from The Goop Factory decided to do just that. It's hard to know how to go about helping her, since I'm so new at this sort of thing. I was able to understand what she was asking for, though, and I was definitely beneficiently disposed to her afterward, so I must have done something right in assigning myself to that place. The Chasm God remained silent, however, so either today's events were what he wanted to tell me about yesterday, or ... they weren't.
